Description 

Rennie Deflatine Tablets are antacides used for:

• Excess acid in the stomach (hyperacidity)
• Excess gas in the stomach and intestines (flatulence)
• Heartburn (gastro oesophageal reflux disease)
• Heartburn in pregnancy
• Nausea
• Trapped wind
• Upset stomach characterised by stomach pain and burning, nausea and excess gas (dyspepsia)

Calcium carbonate and magnesium carbonate are commonly used as antacids in a variety of preparations. They alter the acidity of the stomach's juices, by binding to excess acid.  This decreases the acidity of the contents of the stomach which may in turn help to relieve the symptoms of ulcers, heartburn or dyspepsia.

Simethicone is an 'anti-foaming agent' which reduces the amount of trapped wind in the gut. It works by allowing the gas to be released as larger bubbles rather than multiple small bubbles, which are trapped among the stomach contents.

Directions

Rennie Deflatine may be taken during pregnancy

As soon as any discomfort is felt, suck or chew 1 or 2 Rennie Deflatine Tablets

Up to a maximum of 16 tablets in 24 hours.

Ingredients:

Simeticone, Calcium Carbonate, Heavy Magnesium Carbonate, Sorbitol (E420), magnesium stearate, potato starch, pregelatinised maize starch, talc, mint flavour, lemon flavour.
