Description

Guardium Acid Reflux Control Tablets contain esomeprazole, an active substance that belongs to the group of medicines known as ‘proton pump inhibitors’. These tablets work by reducing stomach acid production, providing short-term relief from reflux symptoms such as heartburn and acid regurgitation in adults. Reflux occurs when stomach acid flows back into the foodpipe, causing inflammation and discomfort. This medication may take 2-3 days of consecutive use before noticeable improvement, and if symptoms persist or worsen after 14 days, seek advice from a doctor.

Ingredients

The active substance is Esomeprazole. Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 20mg Esomeprazole (as Esomeprazole Magnesium).

Other ingredients: Microcrystalline Cellulose, Macrogol 8000, Lactose Monohydrate, Talc (E 553b), Methacrylic acid-ethyl acrylate copolymer, Copovidone K 28, Crospovidone, Sucrose, Povidone K 90, Maize Starch, Magnesium Oxide, light (E 530), Silica Colloidal, Anhydrous, Magnesium Stearate, Diethyl Phthalate, Polysorbate 80, Ethylcellulose, Sodium laurilsulfate, Hypromellose (E464), Titanium Dioxide (E 171), Iron Oxide Red (E172), Shellac Glaze, Iron Oxide Black (E172) and Propylene Glycol.

Directions

For oral use only.

Swallow the tablets whole with a glass of water. Do not crush or chew.

Adults aged 18 and over: Take one tablet once a day. It may take 2 - 3 days for the tablets to have full effect.

Warnings

Keep out of the sight and reach of children.

Do not use if you are allergic to Esomeprazole or any of the ingredients.

Talk to your doctor or pharmacist if:

• You are taking any medicines listed in the enclosed leaflet
• You are over 55 and have new or recently changed reflux symptoms

If your symptoms worsen or do not improve after taking this medicine for 14 days in a row, contact your doctor.
